Education Grants

Relaunch of the ANZMOSS Education Grant initiative.  We will relaunch the Education Grant initiative in 2026, with the first grant recipients being supported to attend the ANZMOSS Annual Scientific Meeting in Hobart, Tasmania to be held 12th – 14th August 2026.

The education grants aim to bring together delegates across a range of disciplines with esteemed professional and thought leaders in a field of obesity serving as a platform enabling participants to engage in discussions and presentations about the latest innovations, treatment modalities, and research breakthroughs in the management of obesity and metabolic bariatric surgery.

ANZMOSS has grown to include surgeons, physicians, dietitians, nurses, and other allied health professionals dedicated to advancing knowledge, research, and best practice in the management of obesity. The Society plays a vital role in setting clinical standards, fostering collaboration, providing education, and guiding policy across Australasia, with a strong commitment to maintaining excellence in obesity surgery in alignment with international standards. Your support in this initiative powers the objectives of the Society and will further connect you with current and future healthcare leaders across Australia and New Zealand.

We are offering the opportunity for industry supporters to contribute to the education grant fund pool, designed to provide exposure for your organisation among our audience.  Recipients will be mentored during the conference, allowing facilitated introductions to industry leaders in the field and fostering collegiality. A summary of the proposal is outlined below, with further details available in the Education Grant Agreement.
